14-day trial · 1 vault · 3 GB · no credit card

What you get

  • Zero-knowledge

Your notes leave the device encrypted. We store ciphertext — never plaintext.

  • EU hosting

Sync on Hetzner in Germany. Auth and account in Frankfurt — close to you.

  • Realtime LiveSync

100% compatible with the official Self-hosted LiveSync plugin — type once, it syncs on its own.

  • 3 GB · up to 3 vaults

Room for notes, PDFs, and images. Paid plan: up to three separate vaults.

  • Cross-platform

Phone, laptop, desktop — anywhere Obsidian already runs.

  • No self-hosting

No Docker drama. Copy the setup URI, paste it — you’re ready.

LiveSync is powerful — self-hosting often isn’t.

No Docker setup. No reverse-proxy fights. No broken Git merges on your phone. EiraSync gives you a ready setup URI: paste, sync, done.

FAQ

What is EiraSync?
EiraSync is managed hosting for the official Obsidian Self-hosted LiveSync plugin: private E2EE sync in the EU, without running your own CouchDB server.
Can I sync large files?
LiveSync chunks files. Max ~10 MB per CouchDB document (incl. E2EE overhead). Huge videos belong in object storage — not in the vault.
What happens after the trial?
Without a subscription, write sync later becomes read-only, then purge. Local Markdown in Obsidian stays on your device. No vendor lock-in.
Is this an official Obsidian product?
No. EiraSync is an independent hosting provider for the open-source Self-hosted LiveSync plugin.
How do I start?
Sign in with a magic link → 14-day trial (1 vault). Upgrade in the dashboard to monthly (€5) or annual (€36, −40% vs 12× monthly).
Monthly vs annual?
Same paid plan (up to 3 vaults, 3 GB, unlimited devices). Annual is €36/year instead of 12×€5 — about 40% savings.
Can I cancel?
Yes, via the Polar customer portal in the dashboard. Access lasts until period end; then the lifecycle applies (later read-only → purge). Local files stay.
Where is my data?
Sync data plane: Hetzner in Germany. Control plane (auth, metadata): Supabase Frankfurt. Vault contents are E2EE — we never see plaintext.
Do I need a special Obsidian plugin?
The official community plugin “Self-hosted LiveSync”. No companion plugin needed for the MVP.
What is early bird / founding?
Not a separate product — a Polar discount code on the annual plan (target ~€29/year). Details at launch.
Payment and invoices?
Checkout and invoices run through Polar (merchant of record). You manage subscription and payment methods in the customer portal.
