Terms of service

English summary for convenience. The German AGB are authoritative.

These terms govern use of EiraSync, the managed LiveSync service operated by Simon Mück (“we”). By registering or using the service you accept these terms.

1. Provider

Paid subscriptions are checked out via Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar’s terms also apply to the purchase contract.

2. Service & zero-knowledge

EiraSync provides managed sync infrastructure for the community plugin “Self-hosted LiveSync”. Obsidian and the plugin are third-party software. EiraSync is independent and not affiliated with Obsidian or the plugin authors.

Vault contents are end-to-end encrypted. We store ciphertext and cannot read your notes.

3. Plans & trial

A free trial (typically 14 days, 1 vault) may be offered. Paid plans unlock higher vault limits as shown in the dashboard / pricing page. Features may change; material changes will be communicated reasonably.

If you lose access to your registered email, our support will change the account email only for paid subscriptions and only after clear proof of ownership (e.g. Polar invoice number, invoice date, or last digits of the payment method used). Trial accounts cannot have their email changed; create a new account instead.

4. Acceptable use

No illegal content or abuse of the infrastructure
No attempts to bypass encryption, quotas, or security controls
You are responsible for safeguarding setup URIs and passphrases

5. Availability & liability

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited as described in the German AGB.
